Fragments of the First Eternal Melody (2013)
I created this track for The Dark. Outside., a project in which unheard music was broadcast to a mountain in Dumfries and Galloway. "Unheard" meant largely unreleased, but I wanted to push that idea further, so I created this by randomly combining a number of tracks I'd recorded, and other than checking a few places for balance, didn't even listen to it myself before the broadcast. The full title of this track is "Two fragmentary realisations of the first eternal melody combined with random interpolations in the first version of the 13-8-2013-43 chord (with 39)". The First Eternal Melody is one of a series of melodic ideas on which I improvise regularly. I consider each time I play it to be a continuation of the same thread, hence "unending". The rest of the title denotes the ratios used in the construction of the drone.
This track is available for download as part of "Possible Worlds Vol. 3" from Spectropol Records.

Last rays of sunset on a far horizon (2011)
This was one of the first cello and drone pieces I created after I returned to electronic composition. The title was added after the fact in an attempt to convey the kind of feeling the recording evokes for me. It might evoke something else entirely for you.

Solar (1994)
I dabbled with using computers to create music a bit at university, but my first extensive attempts at making music this way date from just afterwards, when I bought a second-hand Atari ST from a friend and started experimenting with sequencing. This is my favourite recording from that time. It was made by looping ideas and improvising over them. I also made a 45 minute version, which I might put online at some point.

Theotokos Mix (2012)
This is a remix of "Punk Prayer" by Pussy Riot, combining elements from their recording with processed samples of the bells of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, Moscow. "Theotokos" means "God-bearer", and is a term used in the Orthodox Churches to refer to Mary, the mother of Jesus. The song begins, "Virgin Mary, Mother of God, banish Putin!"

The Thirteen Eight... series
Every year I create a drone based on the numbers of my birthday and age, and combine it with my cello, which is re-tuned to the tones from the drone (or closely-related ones).

This is a remix of "Float Dance" by Gabriel Prokofiev that I made for a competition. It didn't win. I like it anyway.

Untitled Piece (1994)
I originally created this track as the tape element of a piece for oboe and tape. It's never been performed that way though, and i rather like the track as it stands. I'm not sure if the oboe part even exists anymore! If you're interested, contact me and I'll see if I can find it...
